Profile for water well screen

TDV Profile manufactures water well screen profiled wire, in other words, the stainless steel wire, v-shaped, necessary for the manufacture of water well screens.

What is a water well screen?

Strainers for water drilling are located at the end of the pumping tube. They allow the passage of water from the borehole into the suction tube. Strainers for water drilling must let in a large quantity of water by retaining grains of sand and other impurities potentially floating in the liquid while limiting the pressure drop.

Strainers for water drilling must let in a large quantity of water by retaining grains of sand and other impurities potentially floating in the liquid while limiting the pressure drop.

Depending on the depth of the borehole, which determines the geological formation of the borehole, and the chemical nature of the water, our customers study the most suitable water well screen for the environment. The water well screen is made with spirally wound V-shaped stainless steel wire which is spot-welded to a generator beam without any filler metal. TDV Profile can vary the angle of the V, the thickness of the wire, but also the nature of the metal to adapt to the customer’s request.

TDV Profile works with all types of stainless steel, but the bulk of water well screen profiles are made of 304L stainless steel and 316L stainless steel.

Specific stainless steel profiles for water well screens

Our profiles for water well screens therefore fully meet the most stringent requirements of our customers. Our stainless steel profiles, through their cold-worked shape, ensure that the filter medium (the strainer) has a very high resistance to external pressure as well as a durability of their achievements or assemblies over time.

TDV Profile adapts to all requests,

even the most specific.
